3. Data Collected

3.b Data sources

Weather data used in the application is provided by Open-Meteo ( https://open-meteo.com ).

Nutritional information is sourced from the Open Food Facts database ( https://openfoodfacts.org ), available under the Open Database License (ODbL).

4. Purpose of Processing

5. Legal Basis

Data processing is based on:

6. Data Retention

Data is retained as long as the account is active and deleted within 30 days upon request or after prolonged inactivity.

7. Data Sharing

Data may be shared with the following providers:

Data is never sold or shared for commercial purposes.

Specific to Garmin: Garmin Connect data is never sold, rented, or transferred to any third party.

Specific to Polar and Suunto: when you connect your Polar Flow or Suunto App account to AI-TRAINING, the activity data you authorize (e.g., distance, duration, heart rate, elevation) is imported solely for display within the app, for performance analysis, and to support your training tracking. This data is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for commercial purposes.

You can revoke access at any time from your Polar or Suunto account, after which no new data will be synchronized.

Specific to Apple Health / HealthKit: when you allow AI-TRAINING to access your Health app data (e.g., heart rate, workouts, weight), this data is used solely to provide tracking, analysis, and training recommendation features. It is never sold, used for marketing or targeted advertising, or shared with third parties for purposes other than providing the service.

You can revoke this permission at any time from your Apple device; after revocation, no new data will be imported.

Specific to Apple Calendar and Google Calendar: AI-Training allows users to voluntarily synchronize their training plan with their personal calendar.

On iOS, AI-Training uses Apple EventKit after the user grants explicit permission in order to create or update events corresponding to planned training sessions in Apple Calendar.

On Android, AI-Training uses the Google Calendar API with the calendar.events permission in order to create or update events corresponding to planned training sessions in Google Calendar.

This synchronization is optional and triggered only by the user. AI-Training does not use calendar data for advertising, marketing, profiling, or resale purposes, and does not share calendar data with third parties.

The user can revoke permission at any time from their Apple device settings or from their Google account settings. After permission is revoked, no new calendar synchronization is performed.

Strava specific: data retrieved via the Strava API (activities, training metrics, routes) is used only to display it in the app, generate statistics, and allow the user to share it if they enable it. We do not create any Strava posts without the user’s action.

Strava Usage Data: Strava may monitor, collect, and use certain data and information related to our use of the Strava API and the Strava Platform in connection with this integration (“Usage Data”). Strava may use this information for internal or external business purposes (e.g., support, compliance, improving the API / Platform).

Privacy / display: Strava data imported via the API is displayed only to the authenticated user who authorized the connection to Strava.

AI / Machine Learning: data from the Strava API is not used to train, fine-tune, or build a dataset for any AI / machine learning model. It is used only to compute and display user-specific analytics and insights for the relevant user.

Revocation: the user can revoke access at any time from their Strava account; after revocation, no new data is imported.

This site uses Google Analytics in anonymized mode for statistical purposes only. No advertising cookies are used.

8. Security

Data is stored in secure environments (encryption, restricted access). The app follows ANSSI best practices for data protection.

9. User Rights

In accordance with the GDPR, users have the following rights:

These rights can be exercised via the app or by contacting: contact@ai-training.app

10. Cookies

The website only uses functional cookies. No targeted advertising is displayed.

11. Changes

This policy may be updated at any time. Major changes will be communicated via the app or website.

12. Connection with Strava, Garmin, Suunto, Polar, Apple and calendar services

The user may connect their account to one of these platforms to automatically import activities, or authorize the synchronization of planned sessions with Apple Calendar or Google Calendar. These data are used only for analysis, tracking, training plan adaptation, or voluntary calendar synchronization.

Data import is subject to the privacy policies of each provider:

Garmin Connect

When users connect their Garmin Connect account, AI-Training accesses activity data (distance, duration, heart rate, cadence, power, elevation, and routes) via the Garmin Connect API. These data are used solely for performance analysis and personalized training recommendations.

AI-Training does not sell, rent, or transfer Garmin Connect-provided data to any third party under any circumstances.

If the connection is revoked, no new data will be imported, and previous data may be deleted upon request.

13. Automated processing and algorithmic recommendations

The AI-TRAINING application currently uses a self-hosted AI model and a self-hosted algorithmic engine to analyze user data and generate personalized training plans, sports recommendations, and training session adjustments.

Self-hosted AI model: these processing operations are performed on infrastructure controlled by 3N TECHNOLOGIES. AI-TRAINING does not currently use any third-party artificial intelligence provider to process Google Calendar data, Apple Calendar data, or data from connected sports APIs.

The data used to generate training plans, recommendations, and sports analytics is processed only to provide the personalized features requested by the user.

AI-TRAINING does not transmit Google Calendar data, Apple Calendar data, or data from connected sports APIs to third-party artificial intelligence providers for training, fine-tuning, advertising profiling, or dataset creation purposes. This data is used only to provide the features requested by the user, such as training plan generation, training load analysis, sports recommendations, and voluntary session synchronization.

The analyzed data may include, among others: heart rate (BPM), power, cadence, elevation, VO2max, HRV (heart rate variability), fatigue, menstruation, injuries, stress, hydration, nutrition, GPS routes, weather, and information about available equipment.

These processing operations help assess physical condition and fatigue, anticipate overtraining risks, and adapt the proposed training sessions. The application may also suggest adjustments based on weather conditions, sports level, recovery, or the menstrual cycle.

If AI-TRAINING later integrates more advanced artificial intelligence or machine learning models, this Privacy Policy will be updated to clearly explain the processing operations performed, the data used, and the choices available to the user.

No automated decision with significant legal effect is made without human intervention. Users may request an explanation of the recommendations provided by the application and request a manual review if they wish.
